Samaradhanai Scheme

This is to facilitate astikas like us to offer Brahmana Bhojanam for our Veda Vidyarthis on special occasions like shraddham, janma nakshatra of beloved ones, days of samskarams (abdapoorthi, upanayanam, vivaham), etc.

What is this scheme?

Under this scheme, interested astikas can sponsor lunch (Samaradhanai bhojanam) for our Vidyarthis in honor of a family member - parents, spouse, siblings, children, etc.

Why this scheme?

Bramhana bhojanam is highly adorned and emphasized by our scriptures repeatedly. In one of the many such quotations of the Srimad Bhagavata Puranam, Bhagavan says

nAham tathAdmi yajamAnahavirvitAne shchyotadghritaplutamadan hutabhunkmukhena. yadbrAmhanasya mukhatashcharatOnughAsam tuSHtasya mayyavahitairnijakarmapAkaiH

Meaning: I do not enjoy the oblations offered by the sacrificers in the sacrificial fire, which is one of My own mouths, with the same relish as I do the delicacies overflowing with ghee which are offered to the mouths of the brahmanas who have dedicated to Me the results of their activities and who are ever satisfied with My prasAda.

In the modern day and age, it is understandable that many of us despite sincere intentions are unable to provide for Bramhana bhojanam at our houses during important events like shrAddham, mahAlaya paksham, janma nakshatras (birthdays), vivAha dinam (wedding days), etc. We are trying to meet this unmet need.

Our vidyarthis who chant Vedam all day have dedicated their lives to the cause of the Vedas and hence feeding them would give us immense satisfaction in addition to performing the vedokta/shastrokta karma.

How do I know that the samaradhanai has been offered ?

We are an independent branch recognized by the Sringeri Sharadha Peetam and so we maintain a high level of accountability for any donation. On the day when the Samaradhanai is being offered to the Vidyarthis, we will send a notification via email/whatsapp. We will place a black board with the name of the desired person on whose behalf the Samaradhanai is being offered. We will send you a photograph of the same via Whatsapp.

Go Pooja Scheme

1. What is this scheme?

This is to facilitate astikas like us to perform Go Pooja on special occasions like janma nakshatra of beloved ones, days of samskarams (abdapoorthi, upanayanam, vivaham), etc.

Under this scheme, interested astikas can sponsor go pooja for our Vidyarthis in honor of a family member - parents, spouse, siblings, children, etc.

2. Why this scheme?

Gomatha is revered in Vedas, which mention that all devatas reside in her body. Offering worship to Gomatha is considered to be very auspicious and bestows punya.

3. How do I know that the Go Pooja has been offered ?

On the day when the go pooja is being offered we will send an audio clip of the sankalpa done in the name of the sponsor and a photo of the pooja through whatsapp.

Veda Parayanam

1. What is this scheme?

This is to facilitate astikas like us to perform Veda Parayanam on special occasions like janma nakshatra of beloved ones, days of samskarams (abdapoorthi, upanayanam, vivaham), etc.

Under this scheme, interested astikas can sponsor Veda Parayanam for our Vidyarthis in honor of a family member - parents, spouse, siblings, children, etc.

2. Why this scheme?

Vedas are considered to be the very breath of parabrahmam. Performing Vedaparayanam and supporting these causes will give lokakshema, benefit to the entire world, Shanti, universal peace and Subhiksha, universal prosperity.

3. How do I know that the vedaparayanam has been offered ?

On the day when the go pooja is being offered we will send an audio clip of the sankalpa done in the name of the sponsor and a short audio recording of the recitation through whatsapp.
