Sri Bharati Tirtha Vedapatashala is located in Sengottai, a serene town in the Thenkasi district of Southern Tamilnadu. We are a branch of the Dakshinamnaya Sharada Peetham, Sringeri. Our patashala is managed by the Sengottai Religious and Charitable Trust (SRACT)
Our sister institution, Ubhayabharati Kanya Gurukulam, is a novel initiative dedicated to impart Samskritam and Samskriti-based education to girls. This institution is managed by Sengottai Sri Sharadamba Charitable Trust (SSSCT).

*3 full-time highly qualified veda adhyapakas and 32 Veda vidyarthis from 6 states<br /> *3 vidhyarthis have completed Shukla Yajur Veda Samhita

*3 Veda shakhas: Rg Vedam (शाकलशाखा), Krishna Yajur Vedam (तैत्तिरीयशाखा) and Shukla Yajur Vedam (काण्वशाखा)<br /> *Samskrita Sahityam and Vyakaranam<br /> *Srimad Bhagavad Gita (kantastham) for selected vidhyarthis

Samskritam & Shastram

*Minimum 3 hours of Samskritam Instruction for all vidyarthis which includes Sahitya, Vyakarana.<br /> *Special emphasis on Sambhashana Samskritam.

NIOS training - X and XII std

NIOS X and XII training is available for all vidhyarthis in subjects like English, Samskritam, Yoga, Painting, Data science, Home science, Commerce, e.t.c

About the Veda Patashala

This veda patashala was blessed by our Parama Pujya Sringeri Ubhaya Jagadgurus, Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidanam Swami and Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidanam Swami and was inaugurated on the Sri Shankara Jayanti day, April 20th, 2018. Rg Vedam (शाकलशाखा), Krishna Yajur Vedam (तैत्तिरीयशाखा) and Shukla Yajur Vedam (काण्वशाखा) are currently being taught here. In addition, vidhyarthis  get dedicated instruction in Samskritam including spoken samskritam (Sambhashanam) and Shastram. They receive instruction in Bharatiya culture, Itihasa and Purana. They also get training for 10th & 12th std exams through the National Institute of Open Schooling.

People

The Veda patashala is managed by Sengottai Religious And Charitable Trust (SRACT). The management team consists of Sri. Gowrishankar, Sri. Premier Raman and Sri. M. Ramachandran (Managing Trustee). Sri Udaya Ganesha Bhatt, Sri. Karthik Sundara Kramapati, Sri. Rohit Kulkarni Ghanapati teach Rg, Krishna and Shukla Yajur Vedam respectively. Mr. Venkatakrishnan is our warden. Smt. Dr. Radha Ramachandran, B.Tech, (IIT), PhD (Physics) and Dr. Ram N.Narayan, MD oversee other aspects of the vidhyarthis’ education. We are also grateful to have a committed team of staff and volunteers.

VEDA SAMRAKSHANAM

The Vedas are the foundation and source of every aspect of Sanatana dharma, from the religious to the aesthetic to the spiritual. The Veda patashala preserves not only this beginningless body of knowledge but also our traditional method of learning, i.e learning in residence, at the feet of a Guru observing Brahmacharya. With the blessings of the Sringeri Ubhaya Jagadgurus, we strive to preserve this learning tradition. In this process, we also prepare our vidhyarthis for a life of serving our Dharma. In addition to being torchbearers of our tradition by inspiring and guiding our society in the dharma marga they will also be enabled to make a meaningful livelihood for themselves.

Meet Our Team

Sri. Gowrishankar
Sri Gowrishankar is an Indian religious administrator, social worker and the chief executive officer and administrator of Sringeri Sharada Peetham. He is credited with expanding the activities of the Sringeri Math into education and social service. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2008, for his contributions to society.
Sri. S. Raman
Sri (Premier) S Raman is the dharmadhikari for Sringeri Sharada Math in Sengottai. He is a second generation entrepreneur based in Shengottai.
Sri. M.Ramachandran
Sri M. Ramachandran is the Managing Trustee of the patashala. He is a businessman who has extensive experience in business and financial management.
Sri. Rohit Kulkarni Ghanapaati
Sri Rohit Kulkarni Ganapatigal studied Shukla Yajur Vedam at Chathurveda vidya ganapathi vedashrama under the tutelage of Sri. Kumaraguru ganapatigal in Athur, near Chennai. He is a young scholar who has completed ganam and has cleared kramant exams at Veda Rakshana Nidhi Trust (VRNT). He also holds a B.A degree in samskritam from Madras Samskrit College.
Sri. Karthik Sundar Kramapati
Sri Karthik Sundar Kramapati is the Krishna Yajurveda Adhyapaka. He completed Krishna Yajur Vedam Kramantham in Bharati Tirtha Vedapatashala, Maharajanagar, Tirunelveli (2007-2018). He is also well versed in prayogam.
Sri. Udaya Ganesh
Samskritam Teacher
Sri. Udaya Ganesh is a highly accomplished scholar and is the head of Sri Bharati Tirtha Samskrita Vidyala. He studied Rg veda under Sri. Venkatesha Prasad Ghanapatigal (Kasargod), Vyakarana Shastra under Satyanarayana Shastrigal, Kalady Shankara University and Vedanga Jyotisham under Narayana Nambithiri, Kaimukku mana kodagara, Thrissur.
Thiru. Krishnamurthy Oduvar
Thiru. Krishnamurthy Oduvar Murthigal has been trained in thge traditional Dharmapura Shaiva aadheenam. He conducts online and in-person Thirumurai classes and imparts thamizh education to the vidhyarthis.
Sri. Mardhu Subhash
Yoga Instructor
Education : Certified yoga instructor under Tirunelveli district yoga federation. Currently doing M.B.A in Yoga for Human Excellence (Stress Management)at Manonmaniam sundaranar University, through distance education.
Smt. Dr. Radha Ramachandran, BTech (IIT), PhD (UChicago)
Education Director and Founder of Ubhayabharati Kanya Gurukulam
Smt. Dr. Radha Ramachandran manages the vidyartis' education outside of the vedic curriculum. She has expertise in teaching scientific topics to children in an interactive way, through her former position of education outreach director at University of Chicago. She is currently learning Samskritam and Vedanta. She has an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, a doctoral degree in physics from the University of Chicago and post-doctoral training in education and outreach. She has worked for Hindu University of America and for Agastya Gurukulam,Bengaluru.
Sri. Dr. Ram Narendra Narayanan
Dr. Ram Narendra Narayanan is a native of Tirunelveli, TN. Both the paternal and maternal sides of his family have been devoted to the Sringeri matam for many generations. He is currently learning samskritam and vedam. Since 2013 he has been teaching children in various topics pertaining to Sanatana Dharma including Srimad Ramayanam, Srimad Mahabharatham and Sri Shankara Vijayam. He is currently running a class on Sanatana Dharma related topics in Hindi and Tamizh to our patashala kids. He is a practicing neurologist/neuroimmunologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology in the USA.
